metal elements for the general home, farm and ranch sites.
We are also providing sporting event targets to IHMSA : Metallic Silhouettes.
In a identical way, we also support the NRA ranges with Silhouettes as well.
Custom metal signs or letters are also popular products. We have many designs of
Animals and Fish for Garden or Fence or Wall designs.
Lufkin Cutting Edge Design LLC is based outside Lufkin, Texas
near a town called Hudson. Lufkin is in the Pine forest of Deep
East Texas. About 100 miles north of Houston.

The CNC machine in use at my shop is a Plasma Cam
(Tm). The controller with a mechanical interface is
shown on the left. A high speed parallel port connects to
a Dual Pentium processor.
The controller interface is not used except for initial setup
and changing parts. The powerful computer drives the
X-Y table and the Z stage that allows movement up and
down as steel flows. Consider diamond plate.
The table on the right not only holds up the sheet or plate
of metal, but holds the gantry that drives across the table.
Three powerful servo motors, with real time feedback on
positioning, guide on rack and pinion in the X-Y axises the
Z is a precision feed screw.
The table is 4' by 4' .
On some items, custom grinding might
be needed. One of my surface
grinders will face down the metal in
due time.
Welding is done on some items, a
Miller SD180 TIG/Stick welder is used.
Some might need bronze Brazing. A
Propane-Oxygen rig is used for that
operation.
The Plasma cutting torch is by
Hypertherm.
